“Mother2Mother” is a durational performance that unfolded alongside the screening of my animation film “Mami Got Things To Do” during the opening weekend of the exhibition. At its center is my mother—the image, soul and inspiration behind the animated protagonist. Extending the film’s emotional landscape into physical presence, she appears multiplied. I invited my mothers to share the space not as performers, but as themselves, becoming a living portrait of motherhood, of doubled selves, of the many lives each of us quietly carries within.
