A continuous loop of a single animated shot unfolds within my grand-mother’s house, which has been digitally reconstructed using photographs. The camera traverses the intimate corners of this familiar yet uncanny house, a once inhabited space that is now haunted by the absence of its inhabitant.

The rooms and objects that once felt familiar transform into something eerie, as soon as the person who gave them life is no longer present. The items are neither fully existent nor completely erased; they turn into undead objects or zombie things.

With this work, my engagement with family expands into an intergenerational perspective, moving between different generations, memories and forms of absence.
